Important Notice to All Agents Soliciting
or Selling Annuities in Pennsylvania
Pennsylvania recently adopted the model suitability regulation which mandates training elements for agents. Pennsylvania annuity producers must complete 4 hours of General Annuity Training CE credits (provided by a state-approved training vendor) in addition to the EquiTrust product-training requirement already in effect.
Consult the chart below for the effective date of the training requirement. The Effective Date applies to all newly or currently licensed producers in Pennsylvania.

General Annuity Training Element
Four hours continuing education credits must be obtained by an approved vendor offering General Annuity Training. Only state-approved training courses meet the requirement and are available at the Pennsylvania Department of Insurance website.
